Your Assessor

My name is Karen Bull and I am a dyslexia assessor based in Ombersley near Droitwich, Worcestershire.

I am an experienced teacher having worked in a number of primary and middle school settings in the Midlands for over 25 years. In addition to teaching, I have been a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) since 2007 as well as supporting other schools with their special needs provision in my role as a Specialist Leader in Education (SLE).

Within these roles, I have had the opportunity to work with and support many pupils with a wide range of disabilities, including dyslexia and I understand the challenges students face in school today.

My own daughter has special educational needs, struggling with language acquisition, reading and writing. This has given me a unique insight into the challenges parents face in supporting their child.

I hold DBS clearance, professional indemnity insurance and Sweet Chestnut Consulting is registered with the ICO.
